Introduction
The ASUS ROG Strix Scope TKL mechanical gaming keyboard is excellent. It’s a TenKeyLess keyboard without a Numpad that comes in various Cherry MX switches. It has superb build quality and is reasonably comfortable to type on, even without a wrist rest, though a Deluxe variant does.
It has full RGB backlighting, individually lit keys, and LEDs at the bottom to create an underglow effect. Unfortunately, its relatively high latency makes it unsuitable for serious, competitive gamers. Furthermore, while its companion software provides numerous customization options, it is not available for macOS or Linux.

Extra Features
The ASUS ROG Strix Scope TKL comes with a few extras. The top row is set to media controls by default; you can access the function keys by pressing and holding Fn first, or by pressing Fn+Ins (Fn-Lock). Except for the Fn key, you can program a macro into any key using software or on the fly.
When you press the privacy button (F12), all programs remain minimized, all sounds remain muted, and you can lock the Windows key by pressing Fn+Windows, preventing you from accidentally minimizing your game. Check out the ASUS ROG Claymore II if you want a wireless board with a modular Numpad.

ABS Construction Quality
The build quality of the ASUS ROG Strix Scope TKL is excellent. It has a plastic frame with an aluminum plate on top and is very rigid, with no flex. The keycaps remain made of ABS plastic, but they’re high-quality and Doubleshot so that the key legends won’t fade with time.
Although there is a slight rattle when shaking the keyboard, the keys are stable and do not wobble much. The incline feet are sturdy, and the rubber feet are grippy, preventing the keyboard from sliding around.
Backlighting
Yes, there is backlighting.
Color: RGB
Individually Backlit Keyboard: Yes
OK, for color mixing
Effects: Yes
Programmable: Yes
Conclusion
The ASUS ROG Strix Scope TKL features full RGB backlighting with individually lit keys, as well as LEDs at the bottom of the keyboard for an underflow effect. The lighting can be customised using software. Unfortunately, the white backlighting is pinkish.
